Well...I did it. I ordered my dress from an eBay seller in China. They offered to throw in the veil for free. The dress cost $155 and it's beautiful! The veil is lovely and has pearls on it...very nice. I had thought they had forgotten about the veil, because it didn't come with the dress, but it came separately about a week or so later. The only alterations I will have to make to the dress is the length. I deliberately added a couple inches when I ordered the dress to account for the shoes I haven't bought yet. Once I buy the shoes, I will take them and the dress to a local seamstress for a fitting. I want the front just touching the ground and the back a little longer and it's definately long enough to have the seamstress make those corrections. The dress only took 2 months to arrive and was well worth the wait. Most dresses are probably made in China anyway, so what's the difference? LOL
