I budgeted only $200 for my dress alterations, which in hindsight was probably not so smart because it is costing me TRIPLE that!! Granted, the woman who's doing my alterations was highly recommended by one of my BM who's had 10 BM dresses altered there in the past, so I know she's really, really good (she better be!).
She's hemming the dress (it's 4-5 layers), taking it in at the waist, letting it out at the bust, putting in cutlets and boning on the sides. So she's doing a lot of work.
Do you think this is reasonable?? What did YOUR alterations cost?
