I bought my wedding dress awhile ago at David's Bridal, and I love it SO much. It's a long chiffon dress with spaghetti straps that have beaded detailing, and it has a criss-cross satin waist. I have yet to pick out my bridesmaid dresses, but I have some dresses in mind. I'm drawn to similar styles to mine: long, chiffon, with some beading and satin trim. David's has several dresses that I think would be great. I definitely want all my maids in the same dress, same color.
My MoH likes my picks, but doesn't think I'll stand out as much if all of our dresses are similar. Our wedding colors are navy and red, so the bridesmaid dresses would be one of those colors (haven't picked yet; depends which looks better once they try them on). The wedding is Memorial Day weekend, and we have an outdoor ceremony at a gazebo, with our reception in a garden tent.
Why do you guys think? I don't mind short dresses and have again found some chiffon ones with the detailing and everything I like, but I really think the longer ones would be pretty. I don't want anything too formal, so satin ballgowns are definitely out. I'm also not opposed to other fabrics for short dresses, and they have some cute jersey and cotton ones at David's.
