I'm interested in an ivory, lacy look that won't require me to have help using the restroom on the day. And the whole concept of gown preservation and spending a lot of money on a dress I'll wear once- even if I'm photographed more on that day than on any other day of my life- freaks me out. I'd rather wear things again, then I can have the "aww, I wore this when I got married" feeling for months or years after the wedding (kind of like the feeling I get when I look at my engagement ring).
So what I'd like to do is put together a bridal outfit. I'm hoping for a fall wedding- not this fall, next fall!- and a lot of stores have really nice ankle- or floor-length skirts that are just what I'm looking for- ivory, lacy, some of them are tiered and look really pretty. But I'm worried about finding a top (and possibly a jacket, if it's a shell, with my shoulders I want some kind of sleeves) that matches and works with the skirt. Also, I'm 5'11 and a size 14 or 16 depending on the store, so finding stuff in my size is an issue.
Ideas, anybody? Seen anything that looks like what I'm talking about? Know any stores that offer this kind of thing?
