That's really pretty! I think it is appropriate and not too much.

If she is having a church or a conservative ceremony, I recommend buying a shawl or wrap, but I'd lose it for the party.

I wish my mom was looking at dresses that nice.

I think that you'd need to wear a shrug for the ceremony, but for the reception I think it would be fine.

Maybe consider a shawl for the ceremony but other than that it is a beautiful gown!
