Shoes that won't sink into the grass

Hey ladies - I'm on the hunt for a specific pair of shoes. My wedding will be in an apple orchard so I can't have a stilleto heel because it will sink into the ground. I also have a dress that cannot be hemmed due to the detailing in the lace so I'm looking for a shoe with a 1-2.5 inch heel. I'd also prefer the shoe to not have any "bling" (no diamonds or jewels)  I've only found two or three pairs that fit all three of these qualifications, but none are all that cute. Any suggestions or help would be HUGELY appreciated.

Ditto this recommendation - I bought these for my BM's that decided to wear heels (wedding was on a golf course) and they all said they worked great.

  • I found something very similar at my local party store that I plan to buy for myself and my wedding party. They are only .99/pr instead of $9.95.  You may want to checkyour local party stores to see if you can find a more budget friendly version. With only 11 days to go I'm saving pennies wherever I can.  :) Good Luck!

  • Check out http://ninashoes.com/design-your-own-shoes&parentID=245

You can pick the shoe, heel height, color, etc.
  • I'm hoping to have them be ivory/cream, red, or dyable so I can dye them red. Thanks for the suggestions so far! Keep them coming ladies - still looking for the right shoe...

  • I love zappos.com because you can narrow it down really easily to size, heel height/type, color, etc.

Have you thought about wedges instead of a heel?  Easier to walk in and no problems sinking into the grass.
