A non-traditional wedding gown? (too childish?)

I thought I had found the perfect wedding dress for me. I still think it's beautiful but the more I thought about it I wanted to find a medievil inspired dress to go with the swords our men will be wearing during the ceremony. I don't want a wedding too themed (Just my dress, the cake topper, and the swords) but I must say I'm in LOVE with this dress.

I can change the color of the lace if I so desire though the black is very daring and everything.
So tell me what you think? I know it looks costume like but I don't want it to look chilidish. I think it's beautiful. If you feel as though I should attatch the other picture of the dress I originally settled on let me know. I just know I really don't want a traditional wedding dress

Thanks ladies!

  • Honestly I like it. It is medieval but it's also romantic & elegant. I don't know; there is just something about it that is very appealing. You could turn the black into a blush colored lace if you wanted to instead or really any color youlike & what wold go with the rest of the wedding. I'm guessing you'll be having someone make this for you?

  • I think it is beautiful! And if your guys are carrying swords... you certainly don't want a traditional wedding gown. I think you should go for it!
  • Yes, I was thinking of buying it through the lady who sells them on that website. She has gotten a 100% satisfaction. And she will work with me to make what I want happen with the color and style of that dress. I'm happy too because it comes with the cape and the jewlery and the dress.

  • Honestly, I clicked the link thinking it would be completely lame, but like other posters, I like it.  If that's your style, go for it.
  • Remember that your wedding is about two people: you and your future partner. If you think he will find you gorgeous in it and you feel beautiful in it, stick with this dress!
