Girls are in Black, do the men have to be too?

The ladies are in tea length, strapless dresses. Do the men have to wear black suits? I don't mine the groomsmen in black but the general idea that everyone can wear black doesn't really apply to my hubby-to-be.
Often my fiance has shadows/bruising under his eyes (asthma and allergies) and black just makes it stand out more. Would charcoal for the groom be ok? Should the groomsmen match him? or should he be in black?

  • I think your hubby should pick what he wants to wear, as well as what he wants the guys to wear.
However, that said, I think charcoal would look fine on all or just the groom.
    Praying for a miracle!
  • I think it depends on the formality and time of the wedding. A really elegant or a night wedding in charcoal would seem odd but charcoal would look pretty in a less formal weding.

If the problem with wearing black are his shadows ask him how would he feel doing some beauty tratment and even some makeup for the wedding day.
    Excuse my english!
