Tattoo Cover Up

I am the MOH for my cousin's wedding and she just discussed with me that she would like to cover up a rather large tattoo on her upper arm for the wedding.  I was wondering if anyone had some good inexpensive suggestions that would cover well and that would look natural.

Thanks!

Re: Tattoo Cover Up

  • ive' heard that tattoo camo works well. but honestly none of them are that great. if it's a large tattoo, she might be better off just leaving it, sometimes the cover up make up looks like terrible. she can also always talk to her make up artist for suggestions or if she can use a thicker airbrish make up to cover it.
  • I have heard good reviews for Sally Hansen Legs. It's meant as a spray on leg makeup to cover broken veins, scars, and such, but I have heard of cheerleaders and dancers using it to cover tats.

Dermablend is pretty much the best for things that are hard to cover up, like bad scars.

I'd be inclined to leave it alone though.
And if you should die before me, ask if you can take a friend. Pick a flower, close your eyes, and drift away- STP

  • My sister's friend tried to cover up her tattoo for my sister's wedding and to be honest I thought it looked worse than having a huge tattoo out there. And I also saw a bride do it on WE TV have a makeup artist airbrush it with foundation it was i guess, it just makes it look like you have darker skin there.

  • Kat Von D has a whole line of tattoo erasers at Sephora. I don't know how effective they are, but the good thing about Sephora is you can try them on at the store.
