Which size wedding HEEL!?!?!!

I'm 4'11. My fiance is 5'10.

Should I wear 4.5 heels, or 5.5 heels? Those are my two options with this shoe:

Don't know if one inch will even make a huge difference, but don't know which to order.

Thanks!

Re: Which size wedding HEEL!?!?!!

  • Do you want to trip down the aisle? Everyone knows you're shorter. Wear the shoes you can pull off, not the ones that help your height difference.
  • It's legit, have ordered from there before.
  • No, don't want to trip down the aisle. Good thing I'll have my dad to hold me up if I do!
  • I'm 5'4 (maybe even 5'3 and change) and FI is 6'5. I'm wearing 5 inch heels, but only because I'm used to heels, comfortable in them, and love the shoe itself, but I do have some platform flip flops for the reception.

The key to heel comfort is honestly in how well made the shoe is, if there's a platform, and if you're used to heels in general.

[QUOTE]Ok then I'd go for the smaller heel and find a pair of platform flip flops to change into because your feet are going to kill you and if you don't have something high to put on your feet your dress is going to be way to long. You are going to be on your feet a lot. I stood for a lot of pictures, the entire ceremony, the receiving line, more pictures, introductions, and first dances. After I sat for the first dance my feet hurt so badly, I took off my shoes under the table and had someone go get me flip flops to change into because I couldn't bare the idea of walking another step in my heels.

<div>I did this too, though I changed into wedge sandals, not flip flops. They were still way more comfortable than my (relatively low-heeled!) wedding shoes.</div><div>
</div><div>ETA: For the record, we have the same height difference as you, OP--my 5'4" to his 6'3"--and I wore 2.5" heels, though I regularly wear taller ones. The wedding day is seriously too much standing to wear super-high heels.</div>

  • FI and are the same heights as you and my shoes are about 3.5 in. I personally would wear the shorter pair and I would hate buying shoes without trying than on but that's just me. It's not like people don't already know we are short!
