ok or not ok....my colors are purple black and white....my fh wants his groomsmen in black pin stripe, so i thought about for the bridesmaides...a black dress with purple accessories and purple and white polka dot heals.....

The great thing about black is they can all choose whatever dress they feel most comfortable in, look best in, and will likely be able to wear it again! Just tell them the length you want, and you're set!

My BMs each chose their own black dress- i just gave them the lenth and type of fabric and all are so happy with their dresses! I think thats a great way to go!

Good idea - I'm doing the same thing

They can wear any "little black dress" they have (or now have a good excuse to buy a new one!) and then they are buying a "peek-a-boo" skirt that davids bridal sells($25) in green.  And if they want, and if the dress style works, they can add a sash with the same color.

My BM are wearring black cocktail dresses they picked out themselves. Black is the best.
Im also getting dresses done for my FG black with red trim.
Silver accessories for all!

Mine are all doing black as well.  I specified fabric type and length to help them look more alike.
