I sold a dress on recycledbride.com, and also had it listed on preownedweddingdresses.com.   Just follow the safety instructions.

for example:

Have the bride send you a current picture of the dress.  With them actually holding it.  Similar to a hostage photo. Ask them to put a current newspaper in front of the dress.  Or, hold up three fingers, etc.  You want to make sure they aren't just taking a picture of the dress from the internet and posting it.

There is also have an escrow site that you can use to exchange the money.

I bought my dress from the site.  The seller was great...and the site was quick to answer my questions.  I also sold the dress I bought (but never wore) there too.  I tried recycled bride and once wed  but only got scammers. All of the inquiries I got from preownedweddingdresses were legit.  I sold my dress in about a month.
