ivory dress... what color shirts for the guys?

my dress is ivory. the guys are wearing black tuxes with gray vests- i'm not crazy about the cream shirts that are available... is it bad for the guys to wear white shirts with my dress being ivory? i think it's totally fine but men's warehouse is highly recommending that the guys shirts be cream... HELP!!!!!

White. 

In pictures you won't even notice a difference. 

Men's Warehouse may be pushing the cream, but it's your wedding and your pictures.

I agree. I would go with white shirts. No one is going to notice the difference.

my dress is a light ivory (where you'd say its white, up until the point that you're standing like 3 feet from it and it's next to something pure white). i had a white purse on the floor when I tried it on at the shop -- the photo makes both look like the same color.
in my case, men will be in white shirts - especially if they're mostly covered by vests.
the cream will most likely be TOO dark for the dress.

if you have a swatch (or can match your dress color to a paint chip at lowes), take that with you. unless its a PERFECT match, or extremely noticeable from about 8-10 feet away, i'd say go with white shirts.

I'm wearing ivory & the guys are wearing white shirts. I've heard what a lot of PPs have already said, that you won't be able to notice in pictures, so I went for it!

My dress was ivory & H wore a white shirt (GM wore black shirts).

White shirts for the guys. I actually prefer a crisp white shirt and no one will notice.

White. It looks better in pictures. Men's Wearhouse has many poorly trained personnel who, from my experience, don't know what they're talking about. You'll also want to closely check your receipts for a ten dollar discrepancy if you're doing business with MW. I'm sure that it's difficult to maintain ethical control of a thousand stores, but they could at least train their salespeople before they turn them loose on the customers!

I was told white makes your dress look a little dirty.  Luckily my tuxedo shop had ivory shirts for the men.  I ended up going with black shirts for the guys though.  My Fiance has an ivory vest and the guys are going to be in their color (pink)....maybe that's an option for you?
