Need opinions on this dress idea please

I've been struggling to decide on a dress.  I came across some dresses on Kathryn Argiro's website that I really like but she doesn't show on the website the exact dress that I want in the fabric and length that I want.  I want to do the dress in a white swiss dot cotton.  We are planning a small church wedding in Miami (2nd wedding for both) and I would like to get the opinion of the knowledgeable knotties.

Have you tried talking to a real person about your problem? Maybe they made a similar dress for someone else and just didn't post the photos. You can also get a free fabric swatch if that helps. But if you can't try one in this cut on, I would at least try on a similar dres by another designer so you know if you even look good in such a simple cut, which is lovely, at least on the model.

I left a message at the shop on Friday, but I haven't heard back yet.

I can try on the cut I'm looking at in a shorter length to be sure I like the fit.  I have another evening dress in a very similiar cut that I love, so that's partly why I was drawn to this style.

I'm petite so I'm worried about being overpowered by a dress, and I'm 40 so I'm worried about being age appropriate.
