Adriennes or RK in NYC

Hi,

I am heading to NYC this weekend for girls weekend with mom and sis and hitting up these 2 places for bridesmaid dresses. Anyone ever been or have experience with these places?

Thanks!!

  • I had a fantastic experience at RK bridal for my gown. We then tried to look for my sister another time for BM dresses, and I didn't like the service with that basically becase there was no.... service. You are basically fending for yourself with the BM dresses. I'd rec. it any day for actual bridal gowns though!
  • I went to both. I really didn't like RK. It's basically a huge warehouse and you get little to no individual attention. You have to go searching through overcrowded racks and lug heavy dresses around. I also waited a looong time from what I remember. There were some nice dresses there at good price points though, especially if you're into the ball gown look.

I got my dress at Adriennes. LOVE IT. It is a small boutique, by appointment only. It was just me, my mom and the sales lady for a whole hour. The selection is much smaller than RK, but personally I liked the dresses at Adriennes way more. They're from smaller, more boutique designers, and are very original in my opinion. I ended up with a Jim Hjelm gown that I love, love love. I recommend the saleswoman Gina. She was very helpful. Also don't be afraid to bargain. They gave us 10% off when my mom asked.

    Good luck.
  • I went to RK & loved it! I got my own attendant who took care of only us & was phenomenial!! She was more then accomidating & beyond patient! I highly rec RK! I have also been there for BM dresses & I do agree you have to fend for youself but it really isn't that bad at all.

  • My lady was AWESOME and told me to try on "my dress" as it wasn't even remotley something I picked up, but she said it's the dress she would put me in so I gave it a shot. I think she did an okay job ;-). so I'm partial to RK
