Returning a dress purchased online

So, I found a handful of "dream dresses". Unfortunately, none of them are sold locally (Kansas City). I thought-- fear not, self-- I can order them online! 

After looking into it, I realized (doh!) that you can't return things you order online... it seems like, from ANYWHERE! What the heck!? 

Does anyone know of any online bridal gown retailers that you CAN return a dress if you try it on at home and don't like it? Thanks,

The only ones that accept returns are usually mass market retailers like David's Bridal, J. Crew, and a few others.

The reason is that when you purchase a wedding dress, it's usually made for you after you order it, and the odds of the company being able to resell it when you decide you don't like it are very slim.

My advice: go to a store and try things on. We all have "dream dresses" that we see in magazines or online, but most of us don't wind up buying them, because they just don't work out. You'll find something you love once you start trying on dresses. Good luck in your search!

Most Ebay wedding dress sellers (most are in china) will allow you to return the dress up to 7 days from when you recieve it. Not sure if that is something you might be interested in.

when on ebay you can read their return policys on there ads or on their portfolio

I am in Kansas near the KC area and I was able to find the dress of my dreams in KC!

A great place to look is bridal extraordinaire in the shawnee mission area. I went there with out an appointment and they didn't turn me a way but instead found a dress to my specifications!

If you take photos in they will find something very similar!

Also another thing when i found my dress I found out it was one offered only at the store and it wasn't even online so you could find a dress that you didn't even see online at a boutique!
