BM Dresses

So  I've always wanted my wedding colors to be red and black, but since getting engaged I've toyed with a few other ideas but I keep going back to the red and black. My dilemma is that I can't find a BM dress in the right shade of red that is $100 or less. I told my girls their dresses are going to be as cheap as possible so I don't want to go over that mark. So I've been thinking about maybe switching over to pink and green.... opinions?

I've lately been wishing I would have gone with simpler colors but I think pintrest is to blame a lot on my wishing for different color & second guessing my BM's dresses.  But there's soooo much you can do with Black & Red.  I think the combo is very classy & there's always accent colors you can add.  But go with your gut.  What shade of red are you looking for?

Why not just have them in black dresses then accent it with red?  Besides, black dresses are much MUCH easier to find for cheap because you can readily find them in non wedding stores.

This may sound incredibly silly but my fiance's ex that got married last year did black dresses with a red sash and I don't want everyone thinking I'm copying her.

I want BRIGHT red..like as bright as I can get it. It's a spring wedding so I don't want anything dark(ish) and it seems like all the dresses I am finding have darker shades of red than I'd like.

How about something like this? http://www.modcloth.com/shop/dresses/lady-love-song-dress

That site has tons of other dresses in bright red, if they would be appropriate to your wedding's style/formality. I'd also check polyvore.

Then maybe go with a pattern dress with black and red so you wont feel like you are copying anyone

Have you looked at Davids Bridal?  Their color "Apple" is a very bam in your face red I love it!  And you can shop by color to just look at the dresses that come in the "Apple" shade!!

and remember a satin or silky fabric is going to add that much more pop to the color :-)

Personally I like pink/green better, but if red/black is what you've always dreamt of them you should definitely go for red/black.  You'll regret it if you don't.

Have you thought about putting them in black dresses and doing red flowers with red satin handles?  Might be easier to match the colour that way, and it's really easy to find black dresses under $100!  And you can do awesome red chunky jewellery.

Keep hunting around, and don't just stick to bridesmaids dress sites exclusively. Like another post suggested try modcloth and other sites like that. From experience, modcloth has some really beautiful dresses and they are well made and excellent quality.

Try this...I went on modcloth and searched "red dress" and on the left hand side of the page you can narrow it down by price to ensure it stays under $100.

Best of luck and happy hunting!
-PS- I voted red and black because I think pink and green give anything a more childish vibe...and if you want a classic affair I think red and black would be more well suited.
