Has anyone used 'Simplybridal.com' ???

I found my dream dress today but it's more than we wanted to spend. I've been researching possibly buying my wedding dress online but most of the sites I'm finding sound sketchy. However, SimplyBridal has a 30-day return policy and appears to be legit. Does anyone have any personal experience with this company? Any other suggestions would be appreciated too. Thanks!

  • I purchased my dress from Simply Bridal because I was looking for inexpensive and not a sketchy site from China. I ordered the dress without ever having tried it on. It was big, but I was expecting that. The quality of workmanship was not the greatest thing, for example, the way the waistband was sewn down caused puckers. However, I had an amazing seamstress lined up who could do wonders and I had a 200 300 budget so I couldn't afford an expensive dress. My seamstress fixed the waistband and took it in at the bust and up at the shoulders and hemmed it and bustled it. I have no regrets. The dress looked amazing. However, you will likely need an excellent seamstress and have the budget for it. I was lucky to have a woman who had done amazing work on two of my cousins wedding dresses and was extremely affordable under 100 for all the alterations I mentioned!. I had good luck with them and would reccomend them to any bride on a budget I say go for it!
  • II'm not sure who the designer is...I found it in a small bridal shop and it's $1000. I'd like to keep it around $600.00 or less. It's a fit & flare, with a sweetheart neckline, drop waist with ruching, and the skirt is layered organza. I'm searching for it online and can't find it anywhere else yet. Thanks for your input- I'll keep searching and if not I may just bite the bullet and go for the dream dress!

[QUOTE]How much is your budget?  What is your dream dress?  There are some legitimate discounters that can save you some money on many designer's dresses.  Simply Bridal isn't one of them, though.  Simply bridal manufactures their own dresses in China.  They do have stores in the USA to back them up, but they don't carry any of the well known designers.

  • Thanks for your input- I don't have a seamstress, so that's definitely something to consider.

  • Last year, I bought a cocktail dress online. I was quite satisfied with that online purchase except there was some delay on the delivery. If SimplyBridal has a 30-day return policy, you'd better check with them carefully about the return conditions.
