Wedding dress color to Tuxedo

My wedding dress is Ivory.  I would like my FH to wear a white tuxedo to the wedding, would that look ok?

Why not let your FI decide what he's going to wear?

Yes, let him decide. As long as he knows the color of your dress.

But of course, I guess I am a good one to talk bc my H wanted to wear a white tux to our wedding and his Mom and I talked him out of it. It was going to clash with my dress. But he was happy once we started looking and he found something else he liked and fit him.

I think it would look fine! But definitely let him pick out what he wants to wear. Maybe you could go tuxedo searching together? You might change yourmind completely when you see something on him.

I wouldn't do white and ivory together....my bridal salon has told me everytime I've gone in after buying my dress (3), to make sure that I don't have white linens, etc, that they should also be ivory.

Stark white next to ivory may make your dress look dirty or dingey.

It's fine...but do you mean a white dinner jacket or actually a white tux?

I think white tuxes are very costumy.

While a white dinner jacket (with black pants, is classic. (And the traditional jacket is actually an off-white.)
