So my parents just tossed out the idea of me and my FI eloping..and they would give us the money that they would of spent on a wedding as $ for a house. I'm torn. My FI and I are currently in a studio condo (he bought 5 years ago when the market was high and is now underwater in it). The condo is no longer worth what it should be..so we wouldn't be able to sell. When it comes time to move we will have to rent it out at a loss and pay the difference.
We just figured out the guest count and its 175 ppl. We're suppose to get married in September at Castleton. I don't know what to do - if we should move forward as planned with this huge wedding or plan something small. I don't know if I would regret not having the wedding. I just know the wedding is going to cost a fortune.
