This is my first post :-)
Sorry if it's long - trying to get all the detail in there!
Me and Charlie got engaged at the beginning of August (2011) and the wedding is october 20th of next year (2012).
I've started looking at dresses and have tried a few on. I have a clear vision of what I want. I've found two dresses that I like.
Another is Elie Saab Aglaya (MY FAVORITE!, but costs probably the average salary in this country)
Two issues:
1. I am not large, around a 4, or 6 in wedding dress sizes, but I'm VERY curvy at the hips compared to my waist. I've found that many dresses have a line in the fabric right around the hips/thighs so I need something that's completely smooth all the way down. Here is an example of a dress that would be perfect for my specifications if we could add cap sleeves, but look right at her hips/upper thighs - it's not 100% smooth

2. I compare every dress I see to the Elie Saab one, and it's SO ridiculously expensive. Even if I COULD afford it, I wouldn't out of principle. It's like paying $100 for a piece of gum. I have $100 but would never pay that for gum! I would NEVER pay that much money for a dress. Does anybody know any dresses similar to this one that is within a normal budget?
So my three questions for everyone are:
1. Do you know any dresses similar to the Elie Saab Aglaya that are within around $2000 *but cheaper is better*?
2. Do you know any dresses that have the following criteria: lace (just lace, or lace and tulle), a-line or princess, cap sleeves, sweetheart neckline, and doesn't have a line along the fabric at the hips/thighs
3. Has anybody ever had a dress designed for them? I think this may be a good choice so that I can get exactly what I want, but I wouldn't even know where to start!
