Hello to my fellow Brides-to-be,
I am in search of a fabulous pair of shoes to wear for my wedding. Should be an easy task, right? A quick trip to Saks and I'm done. Wrong. Here is my problem: all of the beautiful shoes I would like to wear come in 3,4 and 5" heels or are platform. While I love a great pair of heels, I want to wear something I can walk comfortably in (and not want to gnaw my feet off by the end of the night) AND my groom is not super tall - so I don't want to look like an Amazon next to him.
What I really need is a 2" (or less) pair of heels and all of the bridal shoes I have looked at that fit the criteria of said heel height are horrible. They remind me of something I would have worn to my 8th grade dance!
I have looked in MD, DC and VA - tried all of the wedding shops and department stores and even have looked through stores like Marshalls in hopes of finding something, but keep coming up empty footed! Are there any hidden gems I am over looking or am I destined to wear a pair of ugly bridal shoes?
I have even considered finding a custom shoe maker - this is how desperate and crazy I am getting! I want to love the way I look on our special day and don't want to settle for a pair of shoes that I will promptly turn over to my little niece for her dress-up collection the next day.
This shouldn't be so difficult and I can't figure out for the life of me why there isn't more of a selection for this kind of shoe.
