Wearing Ring at Rehearsal Dinner..??

Hi Ladies!  My fiance and I just ordered our wedding rings and about 10 days before the wedding I'm having my ring shipped off to have the two wedding bands sautered to it (one of each side). Since I'll get it back a few days before the wedding I was wondering if it's okay to wear it to my rehearsal dinner as my wedding bands will already be with it. Any suggestions?

p.s. I'll be giving my ring over to my fiance's best man  that night so he'll have it to hold for FI during the wedding day & ceremony so I won't have it on during the actual wedding day.

I know how you would feel...my wedding band is custom made and I have been w/o my engagement ring for 3 weeks now....three more to go - ugggg - but my mom just bought me a $10 fake ring to wear while I was ringless. But honestly I wouldn't wear it if they are together. I am probably going to do the same thing and just wear a "stand-in" ring. Everyone there is your close friends and family - I'm sure most if not all have seen your ring and will definitely see it the next day.

I don't think I'd wear it since the bands are together with it...I know it's hard, though!!! I'd be thinking, "One more day...one more day..." the whole time! lol

Thanks for the responses! I think you're right, I'll probably just wear a simple band in it's place for the rehearsal dinner, that will make getting it the next day even more special!

Why not wait and have them soldered together after the wedding?  Then you can still wear your ring at the rehearsal and have your bands on the day of!

I agree with pp.  I would not wear the rings to the rehearsal dinner since it includes your wedding bands.  I also understand how weird it will be without your ring!  It will make the ceremony even more special!

This is a non-issue for me really. My engagement ring is a 1.59 caret rock and not really feasible for wearing every day in my field (working on computers, etc). I/we bought an inexpensive titanium band (less than $200) that I wear 'everyday" - super comfy! we sent my e-ring and wedding band back to get soldered, resized and polished (white gold) and we're leaving it in the box until the wedding day. My "everyday" ring is what I am wearing until the big day.

Iw ould wear a back up rin gon that hand. I have a pretty pink sapphire heart ring that FI bought me when we first started dating that I used to wear there. I wouldn't want to jinx the wedding by wearing the band before it's time.

I am having my rings soldered together before the wedding. I don't think it's right to wear the wedding ring to the rehearsal - or any time before the wedding for that matter.
Personally, I would have preferred to wait and have them soldered together after the wedding, but I wanted it done before we leave for our honeymoon so that was my only choice.
