The lace is CURLING?

I bought my wedding gown second-hand, and everything is perfect, but the lace at the bottom of the gown is curling up, making it look 1.cheap and 2.too short! I haven't talked to a drycleaner yet, as my wedding is six months away yet, but does anyone know what they might be able to do? Will having the gown pressed possibly alleviate this problem? Has anyone seen this happen before? Thanks!

I would imagine that pressing it would help.

That is actually the same style # as my dress -- the lace curls if it hasn't been pressed in a while.  A steamer the day-of, or a low heat iron with starch would do the trick if you want to DIY at home.  I would strongly recommend going to a professional cleaners for getting it pressed if at all possible, that's what I plan on doing as well.

You should have no problem once it's steamed.  Lace tends to curl after a while so it's normal that it's doing that.  Take it to a pro the week before the wedding and the problem should be solved.
