FMIL has decided that I NEED my veil shortened and will not shut up about it. I am wearing a cathedral veil and I want it to trail out behind me from my hair and it will be a titch longer then my train. She has decided that no, it must be almost over my shoulders, which will not happen the second I take a step forward, and that it has to sit on the train of my dress and not be any longer because it will be "dragging in the dirt" (FYI the wedding in in a church...with a runner.). on top of the fact that think this looks idiotic on me and have NEVER seen a pic of a cathedral veil worn like that...maybe a mantilla but not a cathedral veil of plain tulle with a small amount of beading.
Basically I need an answer that the way I want to wear it is NOT wrong and she's being ridiculous trying to make rules about veil wearing that do not exist. Please tell me I'm right on this. PS she paid for the veil as a gift to me, but its getting to the point where I want to hand it to her and say "fine, you wear it the way you wan't cause I won't be."
I would just do chip and dip and change the subject but this woman has gone insane and WILL NOT let it drop.
