Trying to figure out a timeline...

We're 6.5 months out from the wedding, and I'm not sure when we should have bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen tuxes ordered! My mom seems to think we can wait until the last couple months, but I don't wanna leave things til the last minute. What timeline are you all thinking? Should we start shopping around? When should we have things set in stone?

I am getting my bridesmaids dresses like 8 months before the wedding...

I would start looking for BM dresses now.  Like Duds said, if you get them from a bridal store they will most likely take 3 months to come in and then you want to leave time for your girls to get alterations done (if necessary).  Oh, and make sure you have a private convo with each of your girls to find out their budget before you start shopping.

For the tuxes, take your groom to a local tux store and pick something out.  Atleast get your wedding on file and then ask the deadline for getting measurements in (typically this is about a month or even less before the wedding date).  Relay this info to the rest of the guys in your wedding.
