Decided on Dress but unsure what style Bolero to get

Ok so I found the dress I love and am ordering in a week or two. My wedding is October 16th and I am having an autumn wedding. My dress is strapless and since it might be chilly in the mountains where we're getting married, I am most likely going to buy a  wedding jacket / bolero (long sleeve lace or sheer). I'm very unsure what style I should get that would look perfect with my dress. I prefer long sleeve or 3/4 sleeve.

Here's my dress

any ideas or advice would be soooo helpful!!!

  • The dress is beautiful!  I think a sheer one would be better.  There is a lot of detail going on with all those pettals, and I think lace would just get to busy, and contrasting.  If the rest of the dress were lace also, I would say go for it with the lace (I love lace) but I think it would just add way to much to the design you have chosen.  Congrats!
  • The dress is beautiful. I'm not sure though that either one of those options will actually keep you any warmer, particularly not sheer. If you're looking for warmth, you may need to go with satin or taffeta..

I agree with glam70s, if you are really looking to stay warm, I'd recommend using whatever fabric the dress is made from. It appears to be satin.

Bolero's normally just go the the top of the back of the dress, so as not to cover the details. 3/4 sleeves would look fine.

If you can find a satin jacket or bolero, you might want to look for a way to tie in some sort of red satin ribbon or roses to match the dress.

    Good luck.
