pregnant BM, Help!

Hey everyone!

I am getting married in November and have 4 wonderful ladies standing with me that day. The fun news? 3 are pregnant! There is something in the water I swear, lol, but I am happy and already in love with each baby. Anyways, heres the problemo.  One is due in December, one in August and my MOH is having a c section TOMORROW! woohoo. The August baby and MOH were able to order the dresses that we choose, bc they won't be pregnant at the wedding and should be able to fit in them or alter them and be fine. The one due in December though, will be 8 months pregnant, and the dress the other girls ordered is not maternty appropriate. (The day we decided on the dress is when the BM found out she was preggo, which was about 3-4 months ago) So, needless to say, her and I have been searching for a grey short maternity dress that would look okay, for a couple months now and havent had much luck! We did find a very cute dress on Target actually, and she ordered it but isn't too happy with it once she tried it on. I'm stuck! We are less then 4 months out so if we could find one to be ordered, it would probably have to be ordered asap, but we can't find anything! I've seen a couple grey dresses but they are the knit material, and I don't know how well that would look next to the other girls. Would getting a black dress be okay, or would it really stand out? I'm up for suggestions! Thanks ladies!

This is a picture of the BM dress the other 3 girls have.

  • This is a DB dress yes? I know some of the companies offer Maternity bridesmaids dresses, did you check with them to see if that was an option?

  • maybe try buying the same dress but a couple sizes up and get it taliored.
  • Alfred Angelo has a few maternity bridesmaid dresses that come in light and charcoal grey that are similar, but not exact, to what you have.

  • That looks like a DB dress...I have that one in a different color.  I am 7 months pregnant now, and I can tell you that it definitely does not fit me!! (but it would be very forgiving to a post-baby body) I am not sure with the style and where the waistband sits that it would be comfy/look right altered from a bigger size.   However, DB does sell some dresses that would work on a maternity belly.  Most of them are longer length, but could be hemmed shorter.  Could something like that work for you?  At least then you'd know the colors would match.

  • Hey everyone, thanks for the tips. I'm gunna check out the Alfred Angelo ones. It is DB, and they do have some maternity appropriate ones, but the only short one they offer doesnt come in grey. Bummer. I feel like I'm running out of options!
