choosing my color palette

I need honest, unbiased opinions. My fiance wants to use yellow as our wedding color, i like the idea of using green. If possible I'd like to use both so that we're both happy (though he says ultimately I have the final say). Any suggestions as to what particular shades of both colors I can use & how they could be used for the bridal party? Thanks.

the bridesmaid could wear green and carry yellow flowers

haha - i'm a Packer fan, and this post instantly made me think of football as well.  i saw a purple and yellow pallate i loved and then i took a step back and went "um...no way" :)

not sure whose blog it is, or who first posted it, but i'm obsessed with it when it comes to looking at different color options.  there are a few yellow and green pallates on there.

Head to a hardware store and start playing with their paint chips.  That's the easiest way to narrow down the shades of colors and be sure that they'll work together.

If you're just not liking the way they go together, see if your FI would be willing to do gold instead of yellow, or bring in a third color as an accent.

Thank you all for your suggestions & the links you posted.  They're very helpful.
I was thinking the same thing abt yellow not looking good on everyone but I'll see how it goes. We still haven't even set a wedding date yet (we're looking at 2011)  so we still have some time on our side to decide.
