Hair and Makeup

I'm just wondering who should pay for the make up and the hair, the bride or the bridesmaids? Please help

Re: Hair and Makeup

  • The bride pays if she's requiring hair and makeup. If it's optional, the bridesmaids can cover it, but it's always appreciated for the bride to cover it if it's in the bride's budget.
  • sorry, let me make that a bit more clear. It the make up for the bridesmaids that we are talking about. Should the bride pay for them having their makeup and hair done?

  • I don't see how that clarified anything...  If you're requiring them to get their hair and makeup done professionally, you need to pay for it.  If you're giving them the option, it's okay to expect them to pay.  (e.g. "I'm going to be at X Salon, if you want to get your hair done there it's $Y.")
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

The weddings I've been in, the bride paid for the hair.

I agree, if she's requiring it, then she should pay.
  • I've paid for my hair and makeup for the weddings I have been in, but it was optional.  I am planning on making them optional for my bridesmaids.
