Heels in an Outdoor Wedding

Hey Ladies,

So my story is that I'm a good 5 inches shorter than my shortest bridesmaid so I need to wear heels for the Ceremony and Reception. And I also just want to wear heels. I live in heels so for me there's no comfort issue. Where the problem comes into play is that we're having everything outside on the grass and I can't have my heels sticking and stinking into the dirt. Now I've seen the "solemates" little heel protectors but I feel that I won't be the only one with that problem.
So here's the question- Does anyone know of any good classy ways to "cover" the ground where ppl will be walking? We're going to have a dance floor so that will be good but what about for the rest of the area?

Are you ok with pretty wedges?  I"ve seen some gorgeous wedges used for weddings and that would solve your problem.  Here are a few pretty ones.

I'm having an outside wedding, too, and I'm the shortest in the wedding party. The shortest BM doesn't have 5 inches on me, though. Only 1. Just curious, how tall are you? Anyway, I got a pair of white character shoes with an inch and half high heel. The heel isn't skinny so I don't think I'll have issues with sinking into the ground, but if you're totally set on a higher heel, I agree with the other ladies: a wedge would probably be the best choice.

I'm also having an outdoor wedding, but my reception will be in a field (in other words, no pretty/tended-to grass, just a bunch of dirt).  I'm thinking of putting some cheap astro-turf down.  But I'm still in the planning stages...don't know how well it's going to work.
