Birdcage veil and tiara

Hi all!  I need to bounce an idea off of all of you.

My gown is a column, strapless with a straight neck line. I have a bridcage veil (Russian style) and a replica of Kate Middleton's tiara (it's really beautiful in it's simplicity).

I know that facinators are all the rage with birdcages, but I don't care for them. I have very short hair and an oval face. I also don't want to go the full veil route, as this is my second wedding, and I am 44.

Have any of you seen a tiara/birdcage combo. I can't find pictures anywhere! I just want to make sure that it won't look tacky. I also have no clue where to place it! I'm thinking that because of the tiara, I will have to wear it in the center of my head.

Thoughts? Guidance?   Thanks!!!!

I googled a bit and didn't see anyting. Even googling "tiara birdcacge veil" shows birdcages with fascinators.

To be perfectly honest, I would find both together very distracting. Why not wear a birdcage for the ceremony and switch into the tiara for the reception?

I have a birdcage veil that I will be wearing with a headband. 

IMO, you can do it with a headband or something that lies flat againts your head, but a tiara doesn't really work.  I would do just the birdcage veil for the ceremony and put the tiara on for reception.  I only decided to do both because I want my hair stylist to put on the headband and make sure it will stay properly (it is a ribbon one).

I posted above pic, what is your tiara like?

I am also having a birdcage veil but am thinking of having a flower on a comb and then changing to a sparkly headband later when I want to remove the veil......

Hello Ladies!

Thanks for all of your input...I'm now considering just ditching the bird cage and going strictly with the tiara.
