Would love some opinions of some real brides who have wore this dress..Maggie Sottero Adorae. I bought this dress and am getting married on August 13,2011. Any advice? It seems like a heavy dress so I'm a little concerned about the heat. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You are going to be hot no matter if the venue is air conditioned or not. Between the dancing, excitement, people, you are going to be sticky and sweaty by the end of the night.

Just make sure you have good deoderant as well as maybe putting some baby powder under your boobs and between your legs.

I agree that in August you are going to be hot no matter what. However, with that being said if it is outdoor and you get hot just trying it on in the store and walking around it might be something you want to rethink. I was in an outdoor wedding this past June and the bride bought her dress when she was planning on having an october wedding. It was a beautiful dress, but certainly on the bigger and heavier side in terms of type and amount of fabric. After taking the pre-ceremony photos we had to rush her back inside to strip her down because she was on the verge of passing out. She didn't get back into her dress until 10 minutes before the ceremony.

It certainly make me confirm my decision on a lighter dress because mine will be outdoors in June of next year. I would suggest a Shantung silk. It is a super light beautiful fabric that can still give you that bigger bridal dress look but it isn't nearly as heavy as the taffeta ones.
