I'm having so much trouble with picking shoes to wear with a floor-length dress (with train) at an outdoor wedding. I know heels would be flattering because they'd make me taller, but I can't be sinking into the ground when I walk, and wedges seem so clunky! Is it pretty common for brides to wear flats? Is there any downside to doing that? I was thinking a pretty white flat or even sandal. I think some brides even wear sneakers, but that would be too hot in August, I think.
