Should the grooms vest and tie match???

Help! I am curiouse if I will make my fiance clash..i have 4 brides maids, two in copper and two in burgandy,the groomsmen are in black tux/vest/shirt with cooridanting tie  colors with the dresses..My dress is Ivory and champagne, My question is I have picked out an ivory shirt with an ivory vest  and a chamagne tie for my groom..Do you think that my grooms tie and vest should match or do you think it will coordnate well??? Thanks so much!!!

I tend to prefer it when the vest and tie match, but I don't think it will look bad or anything.

But have you asked him what he wants to wear? After all, you get to pick out your dress, so shouldn't he get some say in his tux?

I keep asking him and he says he doesnt care! He trusts me to pick...I really wanted some contrast on his outfit like mine but am not sure how to make it work...

I'm not sure where to find one, but maybe you could find and ivory and champange striped tie?  I can imagine it would be easier to find champagne and burgundy or something though.

I don't like ivory shirts. They usually look yellow to me. I pointed out an ivory shirt to my husband before he had picked out his tuxedo, and he wrinkled his nose at it. I wore a diamond white dress so it was a moot point anyway, but I never would've asked him to wear an ivory shirt even if I wore an ivory dress, knowing that he disliked them. Besides, he left his jacket on all night so only his cuffs and collar were vsible anyway ... and even if your FI takes his jacket off, he'll probably still have the jacket on in all the photos where he's posing next to you.

If he said he doesn't care, I'd personally give him a list of ideas, then ask him to go to a shop and try things on and see what he likes.

Not everything in your wedding has to be perfectly matched. His outfit needs to suit HIM, not what you are wearing. You don't build the whole wedding around your look.

I picked ivory because i like the antique look.....it goes with my fall wedding...i am just curious about the tie and vest not matching.....went back to the store today and looked again..I like how they look!!  It s not about the show...BUT, he will look hot in anything he wears!
