black bridesmaid dress? ok?

Hey,

My colors are black, white, and pale pink. I wanted the bridesmaids to be able to wear their dress again so I got them knee length black dresses. I was going to put a pink sash on them. I am having second thoughts not because everyone says, black...is it a funeral? The venue is very formal so I thought it was ok. What are people's thoughts? Thanks.

Black bridesmaid dresses are fine! Black usually looks great on people and can be really classy.

I've been in a ton of weddings and my favorite bridesmaids dress of them all was a black dress. I think it is perfect for a formal wedding.

Just ignore anyone who makes a "funeral" comment.

Black BM dresses are perfectly fine and I think are very pretty because black goes with anything and will make anything you put against them pop!

My bridesmaids chose their own black dresses...I thought it looked really classy. Black is a great color, and they'll almost certainly be able to wear it again. I think pale pink flowers would look awesome -- no need for a sash in addition. If you do go with a sash, make sure it can be easily removed after the weeding so the dress can be worn without it if the girls prefer.

My girls are wearing black dresses. Honestly, I would skip the pink sash and go with pink shoes.

I made my girls purple sparkle shoes. Take white shoes, get melatonin purple spray, spray shoes and add glitter glue. dries like paint. its beautiful! Msg me if you want step by step instructions!

if youre not good with DIY, pink shoes are everywhere.

I walked by a wedding in Baltimore where the bridesmaids were in black dresses. You know how I know it was a wedding? Everyone was super-happy

. The BMs looked chic and lovely, the dresses were fashionable and definitely re-wearable, and it was obvious by their faces, body language, photo poses, etc. that this was a joyful occasion. Go for it!

I've been to many wedding where the BM's wore black, including my own. I think having them choose their own LBD is a great idea & you can customize it by using any color with it.

I was in a wedding a few months ago and I had a black BM dress. It didnt look like a funeral at all.

My colors are black and white as well but with fall colored accents! We had the same idea, because they are wearing black knee length that can be worn again, but with a white sash! Not a funeral just super cute!
