I fell in love with this rosette when I went to the bridal shop for my second fitting today. Problem is? It's $100, and although I could justify the splurge since my dress was a bargain, I'd rather not spend that much on such a small item. AND I need to have something within four weeks for my bridal portraits.
Can anyone find something like this that is less expensive, that I would be able to get in time? I'm hesitant to try etsy because I couldn't find anything pre-made and I'm afraid of being out of luck if the seller doesn't get it done before my pictures. I already checked David's Bridal and Dessy Group which had some rosettes but nothing that measured up to this one.
I realize I am being very picky. I am looking for pure white. It needs to be an open type rosette where I could pin something in the middle, and if it has anything in the middle I need to be able to remove it (I have an antique pin for my "something old" which I plan to pin in the middle of the rosette). I would also prefer something made out of soft satin like this, although I might consider something made of organza. My gown is soft satin with an organza overlay, and I would like the flower to look like it was an intentional part of the dress...I fell in love with this one because I don't usually like silk flowers but this just looked like something that was crafted using the same fabric as my gown and not quite as artificial looking. No feathers, sparkles, or anything else. Just a rosette.
I'm fairly creative, so if anyone can link me to instructions/patterns/etc. where I could make something like this, that would work too! I have some fabric left over from my dress and it might be enough. I could kind of see how it was made but I'm not sure about getting the petals shaped just right.
Thanks in advance!
Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.
