Brides Against Breast Cancer Gown Sale

I just found out the Brides Against Breast Cancer Gown Sale will be coming to my city. Anyone done it before and think it was worth it? Is it insanely packed and crazy or is it oganized well and they just let only a few people in at a time? Also, if you did do it, is it worth it to buy the "pre sale" tickets so I can get in at 10am instead of noon?

Re: Brides Against Breast Cancer Gown Sale

  • i totally got my dress at my local one! it's a gorgeous cameo pink Maggie sottoro Suzzanne, and I adore it! it was worn once before, is in perfect condition, came already bustled, and it was a killer deal for a great cause! they had tons of dresses and it was so worth it! the experience was beautiful and touching
  • thanks dizzinea! would you say it's pretty well organized? were you able to go in and say what designers you were interested in or did you have to weed through a whole bunch of dresses? how crowded was it? i know it will be different for different cities, but just trying to figure out how crazy it could be :) thanks!
  • the dresses are by size, but I ended up getting a dress two sizes too big because I loved it! anyway it was busy but controled, not crowded or stressful.by desinger may be tricky, but ask the girls working there they may be able to help. I just looked on the racks at or directly above my size and found my dream dress! good luck!
  • I have not ever heard of this, but I looked it up and I will absolutely try to make an event when I start looking for a dress.  I am going to mention it to my friends husband as well, she passed away in October from breast cancer, and I think he would donate her dress.
