Am I Crazy?

Am I crazy? I purchased my dress a month ago and I am now second guessing it. Has anyone else felt this way? I am getting married on March 9th so I don't think I really have time to second guess. It was perfect when I tried it on the first time, but I tried it back on yesterday at the Bridal Salon and did not feel the same. Is this normal to feel this way?

Re: Am I Crazy?

  • If you noticed... the majority of this board is girls with dress regrets! ;) You're not crazy. It's perfectly normal. There's a reason you fell in love with the dress in the first place. Have fun playing with accessories and all that now. Everything will fall into place.
  • It is absolutely normal to feel this way.  As PP said, the majority of the posts on this board are about dress regret!
I think  we the amount of wedding dress television shows, bridal magazines, etc out there, it really puts a lot of pressure on brides-to-be to have that "perfect" dress.  When it comes down to it though, you wouldn't have chosen this dress to be yours if it was not right for you.  Trust yourself - you're going to be glowing on your wedding day!

  • Dresses are like men. You dated some, maybe many, and then found the one you wanted to commit to. Doesn't mean you won't see other pretty ones from time to time! You could man shop (or dress shop) forever, but picking something awesome and enjoying what you have is much better. I believe there is WAY too much pressure on women to have 'perfect' weddings and 'perfect' dresses, etc. Nothing is perfect. Not your wedding, not you, not your marriage, but it can be wonderful and make you happy anyway.
  • Thanks you so much! :)
  • I LOVE this :)

I love this too! Something we all need to keep in mind as we plan are special day. It's not about the dress, the venue or anything else. It's about celebrating your love and starting your life together. :)

PS....I am keeping my dress and I am DONE looking! :)
