CARINA DRESSES (an online company) have designed a return policy that makes it almost impossible to return a dress--unless the company admits to making a mistake manufacturing it. Even in that case, they will insist at you having it altered (and they will pay 50% of the expense supposedly). This means if you are not satisfied with the dress for whatever reason, you are out of luck. READ THE FINE PRINT: they suggest that if you don't like it, you give it to a friend or sell it.
I bought a bridesmaid dress that is much too tight in the ribcage, and they first asked me to send pictures documenting this problem, then suggested that I have it altered. Besides its being too small, I thought the gathers made it look lumpy--it was completely unflattering, but there is no possible way to return it. So Beware!
