What to wear

Hey ladies, My wedding is in April next year and I have about 50 lbs to loose, I'm working hard on that and making progress!!! Anyway my epics are June 3rd and I have no idea what to wear. We are taking them at a beautiful bed and breakfast in southern California. I want to look amazing, and as skinny as possible...... Any suggestions???

    Wear something you feel comfortable in.   If you're a jeans kind of girl, wear jeans.  If you like dresses then wear a dress.  Pick your favorite accessory and rock it!  A scarf or awesome pair of shoes would work great (I wore trouser-fit jeans, a grey v-neck sweater, and fierce red patent leather flats).

  • Pick a couple of outfits you feel comfortable in.  This will give you variety to choose from in your photos.  Also practice your poses in the mirror.  There are ways to turn your body and position your arms and legs to give you a slimmer effect.

  • If your photographer allows for outfit changes I like the idea of doing some with more casual outfits (i.e. nice jeans and cute top for you and collared shirt for him) and a couple in more "Sunday best" type outfits that would be more dressy.  Usually a style that hits the narrowest part of you (generally under the bustline) and goes out from there in a kind of A-line will be most slenderizing.  For slacks/jeans, it will be most slimming if they fit the widest part of you and go straight down from there.  A higher waistline and heels will also help to elongate you.  But trust your instincts of what you feel good in and you'll look fabulous :-)

  • I say pick something flattering, that you feel comfortable in, and also something you think you look good in.  Don't try to hide your figure.  We are doing a casual and a dressy look.  So, I am wearing some jeans, a tank top, and a short-sleeved cardigan for casual, and a dress that I have with a little shrug and some heels.  I don't like my arms so I am covering them.  It also took me a bit to figure out what I wanted to wear.  Be patient with yourself.  I'm sure you can find something that looks great.

    Why do you want to lose 50 lbs?  Why would you want to put that much pressure on yourself during an already stressful period?  Perhaps focus on being healthy, staying hydrated, getting good rest and gaining flexibility instead ... that might work out better for you, all around.
