I've lost 70 pounds, and will lose at least 20 more before the wedding (May 27, 2012). My mom lives out of town, and will be coming in next week to go dress shopping, because a bunch of other family members will be in too- unfortunately, she won't be back until the wedding, and I want her to be there when I find the dress, so I'll have to get one then.
I'm nervous because I'm not at the size I'd like to be (I'm a ten, normally, which is a 14 in wedding dresses. I'm also nervous because there will be 7 of my family members looking at the dresses with me, at my mom's request (demand, really, since she's paying for the dress). I love my family, but they all have strong opinions. I don't think they will sway me, but I can see the potential for hurt feelings (mine) and frustration. There are also three or four dresses I've tried on and loved, and I'm worried that I won't be able to pick just one, and I only want one.
Is this anxiety typical? I'm seriously getting knots in my stomach. Any advice?
