tuxes

Yeah the boys are finally going for tuxes tonight! the question is did you go with your guys or did you let your fi pick out the tuxes with his guys?

problem is fi has absolutly NO fashion sence! i mean none. and i am a little afraid of what he will pick! lol i wanna say yeah go ahead but that could be disaterous! i dont want to be  seem controlling < which i really am not /> he dosent care if i go or not .what would you do?

also what did you do  for vest that match the girls?other? we have wine dresses and champagne shoes, i am afraid the red wouldnt match. would it look strange if the guys were in champagne? i have no ides what to do here either. so fi will have absolutly no clue ! lol*|

*** milkduds - what color did your guys wear? i know your girls were also in bill levkoff wine.

Re: tuxes

  • My thought on this is that tuxes all look basically the same. As long as he sticks with black, it will be fine. And colored vests look like prom wear. But champagne does not count as a color to me, because it is a neutral.

  • The only detail I wanted (or needed) was whether he was wearing a suit or tux, since that was going to drive my choice of dress length.  Once that decision was made, I did not want to be involved -- he made the coices for him and his best man.

My 18 year-old son was my best man.  I went with him, since I was buying (to keep the budget in line), to choose his tux and for his fitting.  I did not get into choice of style or accessories.  He had one of the top salesmen at Nordstrom working on it.  I just paid the bill.
  • I went with the guys they chose thier style but the groom and groomsmen are wearing a burgandy vest and tie and best man is wearing black ivory shirts for all  men
