Vintage gown need colors combo

I need assistance with colors that will go well with my gown.   Its an old gown and i think origanally it was ivory, but now its a soft yellow-gold.  most of it is a chiffon with lace overlay.  i really am hurting here for ideas. the groom is wearing a neutral shirt...probably ivory and i dont know what accent color would go with me!  our venue is an old ballroom in the Art Deco style. it has blonde wood and dark red accents. I don't neccessarily want to go with dark red but maybe someone can suggest a good color or two?I can't find an answer anywhere!  help help!

It's hard to say without seeing the gown's true color.

I do a lot of home improvements, and believe it or not, have a suggestion from that experience. Most home improvement stores (Home Depot, Lowe's) have areas in the paint department with color samples on wheels or cards. I'd get some of the yellowish-gold ones, find the one that matches the dress best, then grab a bunch of cards that look good to you as far as matching.

I think burgundy would sound good, but you have to get the right shade, if you want to match the venue. Most colors have a blue or red underlying component. If you pick a few burgundy shades & want to match it to the venue, see if they will let you. If burgundy isn't your color, try some shades of cream, tan or light brown, which was my first thought when I read about your dress color. It won't be an "all white" wedding, but different shades of cream/tan, which I think would look great at your venue.

and I love the idea of shades of light creams tans and such!

For whatever reason when you were describing your dress, I immediately thought of a muted pink color, like blush, particularly for the bouquet or the BM dresses
