Hello ladies!
I'm just beginng the quest for the dress. We had one shopping excursion already that was just frustrating. I'm not a big girl by any means (size 6 or 8) but I am also a 36DD (sorry if that's TMI). That makes it rather difficult to find dresses that fit and are comfortable in general.
My mom suggested perhaps we find a good seamstress who can just MAKE the dress. A friend of mine who has her degree in fashion design said that could run us just as much money as a regualar wedding dress.
Has anyone had experience having a dress, wedding or otherwise, made for them? We were thinking silk with some give/stretchiness, ivory/off-white, with a champagne ribbon belt around the waist (just built in, no bow).
I own a dress that I love that is a similar style, but of course it is bright salmon and not really what I'm going for on my wedding day, but I'm posting it to give you all an idea of the style. I'm the one in the middle.
Any advice/ideas? TIA!
