Undergarment Confusion

Hi everyone-

While trying on dresses, the bustier I was in was a bit small (gave me the double boob at the armpit) & incredibly uncomfortable, so I didn't buy it.  Now I need to find undergarments so I can go back for alterations.  The dress I bought...

Sheath dress, allover alencon lace & beading.  The second picture isn't great b/c they were messing with the bottom to show me what it would look like for bustling.

I'm struggling with what undergarments to buy.  I'm in good shape, but I think shapewear might still be important so I don't have to worry about anything the big day.  I like the idea of a bustier & slip, but every bustier online is super expensive & I'm on a very tight budget.  I live in a small town & no bridal store nearby (closest one is 2 hrs away).  I'm ok with buying from ebay, but worry about not being able to return it if it doesn't fit.  Any suggestions??  I'm between a 34C & 36C, so I really really don't want a bustier with padded cups - and that's all I can find online.  Ugh, I didn't realize undergarments would be such a pain.  Thanks for any help!  

(Anyone try the bandeau style bras/camis?  Like Sassybax?)

If you want shapewear then I suggest Spanx.  I wore the high power one and they were great.  As for the bra, I had cups sewn into my dress and they worked out perfectly.  I am the same cup size as you and I had no issues the day of the wedding.

I am wearing high waist spanx with both dresses. I am having cups put in my ceremony dress and will wear a strapless bra I bought at JC Penny under my after ceremony dress for our photo tour.

I have a very similar shape dress and was thinking spanx.....but after making a trip to the mall today and trying on a few styles, I hate them all!  One that may work, I worry wont stay up and the others leave bluges where they don't cover.  I think I am going to go with a long line bra, and leave it at that with some cute lace boyshorts
