  • I found the dress I love on goweddingdress.com too and have the same question - is this legit? I could save $600 vs. the other places I've seen the dress, but is it worth the risk??

There are so many horror stories of bridal gowns not received/received late/received in awful condition from these online "cheap" bridal websites.  If you read the little disclaimers, it says that they manufacture dresses in "similar style" to that pictured, so it's not the actual S&M dress that you are purchasing.

Personally, I would never ever buy from one of these re-creation dress sites.

If you're on a budget I would try finding your dress at a previously-owned wedding resale site (example: http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/) or look for a different designer who is cheaper but offers a similar dress.

That being said, I don't know anything specifically about goweddingdress.com.

Ditto this. Some other sites to check are: recycledbride.com, oncewed.com and even the Wedding Classifieds board and maybe even your local boards - you never know who has worn that same dress that is selling it.
  • Netbride.com is a great online site...i ordered my dress from there my first wedding and it was amazing! Got my dress early and it is a designer original with tags and in the manufacturers original bag....i'm ordering again!!

  • I am weary of sites like that...they don't seem legit to me...otherwise, everyone would do it.   If you're on a tight budget, I would consider checking out a previously used wedding dress (as mentioned by MissySue20).
