Maggie Sottero Scarlet?

Has anyone tried this dress? It is #1 on my list, unfortunately I will have to by it online without trying it (I'm in Iraq). I would love to see a picture of someone wearing other than the "photoshoped" model.

TIA!

Re: Maggie Sottero Scarlet?

  • I haven't tried it on, but you might want to check out the "Maggie Brides" tab on the MS website--it's got photos of real brides in MS gowns. No idea if the Scarlet is there, but it's worth a shot.
  • I had my heart set on Maggie Sottero Ambrosia. Thank god I tried it on because it wound up not being the one!! It was beautifuI but not quite how I imagined it. I HIGHLY suggest trying on before you buy a dress outright. I can't even tell you how much I thought it wouldn't matter but it really did. I wound up going with a dress that had more of a dropped waist which flattered my figure sooo much better. How much longer before the wedding? And when will you be home in enough time to pick a dress out before the wedding? If not then I guess you will have to order online. Good luck!!
  • I will be home 2 weeks before the wedding, yeah I know, no time at all :-( I had tried on dresses about a year ago (just for the fun of it) and I knew I would need an A-line with a corset back for my body type. I looked at the MB site but it seems the Scarlet is rather new and there are no pictures of real brides wearing it.
  • Scarlet isn't under any of the "maggie brides.." can't seem to find it in a google image search either on someone other than the model. Maybe you can try on a few different dresses that are the same silhouette? I never actually tried on my Maggie (brielle) until this past Saturday when it was MINE! Luckily, it worked out because I had tried on similar Maggie dresses, then went with my gut feeling. At LEAST try on something similar first!
  • CMGr,

Thank you so much for your offer, I have emailed you.

    TIA!
