Anybody's groom and gms wearing/wore jeans?

Just wondering if anybody's bp is wearing/wore jeans and what was the reasoning behind the decision to wear jeans. My guy did and it was actually my suggestion. He is a mechanic and is a super laid-back person. He never wears khakis or ties or anything slightly formal. So, I told him that he could wear jeans if he would wear a red tie. It looked awesome in my book.

I'm not sure why you're asking when your wedding has already happened.

The ONLY wedidng I've ever been to that where any members of the WP wore jeans was country wedding hosted on the brides family farm where the seating was on hay bails, the dinner was a BBQ and the GMs wore jeans with a suit jacket. The BMs wore cowboy boots.

IMO, jeans are far to informal to wear to a wedding and I would NOT be ok with my FI doing it even so he's casual the rest of the time. He is wearing this (<-- clicky) and the GMs are wearing the same deal but black jackets. His idea.

Not my style, but to each her own.

My husband wears basketball shorts and t-shirts most of the time (he works with kids at a youth center).  But he still wore a nice suit to our wedding, and wears tuxes to formal functions we attend.  I almost never wear anything other than jeans and t-shirts, and I stil wore a nice dress.  I don't get people who refuse to wear nice clothing when it's appropriate.

Wouldnt do it myself, would wonder what was going on if I attended a wedding with someone wearing jeans...but heck if you and your guests still had a good time, then who cares at this point? Cheers!

OP has been posting a LOT about her wedding.. I think she is in the post-wedding phase of wanting to reminisce crazy amounts.

No. We did not. H wore his Navy Dress Whites uniform and looked sharp as hell. Jeans are not our style for formal events. He can wear jeans any day, so we certainly weren't going everyday casual for our once-in-a-lifetime wedding.

I had a couple guests wear jeans, and that was annoying enough.  No way I would have let our BP wear them.

A laid back wedding to me means slacks and shirts without jackets.  Jeans?  No way.

I was simply asking a question to see if anybody else had done this. It does not matter that my wedding has passed. I was just trying to see if I had this in common with anyone else and possibly get some guests or family reactions. Shoot me, RUDE!

No one was rude to you. Not agreeing with wearing jeans to a wedding =/= rude or mean or anything else you want to call us.

There is a wedding recap board. I suggest if you want to reminisce about your wedding to visit them.

Yeah, not sure how we're being rude for giving you our opinion when you asked about what others did. 

This board is for thoughts on attire, not seeing if we approve of the wedding you already had.

We're not being rude, we're being honest.

Yes I have seen two weddings (on wedding blogs) with jeans.  I am trying to find them for you!

Yeah, I don't have a problem with anyone not liking the idea of jeans. I have a problem with people acting like I said something totally weird or strange and commenting unneccessarily. For example ''I'm not sure why you're asking when your wedding has already happened'' and ''Why did you post this?'' Because I wanted to and this board is about ATTIRE, thanks. As I have already stated, I was just wondering if anyone else had done this and to see what their experiences were. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, have a nice day.

I totally understand; it'd be like me asking did anyone elope in another country because that's what we're doing (next week!). 

You're just looking for similar minded ladies!  I get it!
