Accessories?

What kind of accessories should I wear with this dress? I do not have my ears pierced so I will not wear earrings. I am going to wear a nice sparkley hair clip/pin in my hair by my updo. What else should I wear?

Here's my dress:

  • Since you're not wearing earrings you can go with a "statement" necklace, a choker, or just about anything you want.  I can see a nice bracelet with that too.
  • If you're not wearing any earrings, I think you could easily do a sparkly necklace since there's not a ton of bling on the bodice of the dress.  A lariat style will give you some interest on the back side as well.

Are you ruling out earrings simply because you don't have pierced ears?  There are a good number of options for magnetic back earrings and clip ons that actually look really nice and look like actual earrings.  Of course, if you just don't like the look then that's totally understandable too.

As someone else who has never and will never have pierced ears or wear any kind of earrings, I'm going to let you know that I get really annoyed when people suggest this. Only because everyone says "well, y'know they make clip ons and magnetic ones!!!!" and it gets old. I am glad you added that last line though. That made it less annoying. Most people that I talk to about it think it's the end of the world that I want nothing to do with earrings.

OP, I think what you have planned is fine. I'm only wearing a necklace, sparkly headband and a veil.

I certainly didn't mean for it to be annoying.  I only just recently pierced my ears and wore clips and magnetic earrings for years, and it never occurred to me that it could be annoying.  I was too afraid to pierce my ears but didn't like that I was doomed to go blingless on my head because of it, so I converted regular earrings quite often.
  • I actually just don't like the look. I have never worn earrings of any style. Just not me :) I'll probably go with a nice necklace, veil, and maybe a bracelet. Would this style dress look weird without a necklace? I typically don't even wear necklaces

  • The model isn't wearing one and she doesn't look weird. If it would make you uncomfortable, don't wear one. You will still be beautiful. Even more so because you'll be comfortable.
